Music Maker Test

Meant to be a replacement for the MIDI sound engine for my own personal use.

It is an internal sound system which can load and play my own MIDI format, and can plug into any sound engine. It supports several tracks (different instruments). Notes are displayed in the central view, different notes going vertically, time going horizontally, and the tracks are displayed together. Notes can be multi-selected, copied, dragged, and have their volume and fade times adjusted.

UI created in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), the synthesizer made in C#.

The biggest challenge with this has been the interface, getting notes to be responsive to user interaction correctly, and making sure that the underlying song structure is accurate.

Programs used:

Microsoft Visual Studio
Audacity
Adobe Photoshop
